Help page:

Anyone who has any association with mental illness will know that living in the community can prove very difficult. People around you may seem very hostile, everyday tasks can be stressful, and loneliness can be difficult to cope with.

"Solace" does not have any magical answers to these problems, but what it tries to do is help people cope with them, by offering a supportive listening service.

"Solace" volunteers come from all walks of life, and you will find us friendly, non-judgmental and understanding of the problems you face each day.

Who can contact Solace:

You do not need to be in a crisis situation to call us. We will be pleased to talk to you, no matter what you want to talk about. You don't need to be suffering from a mental illness yourself to make use of the "Solace" service.

If you care for someone who is ill, this can be equally stressful for you, and you may well find it helpful to talk to someone who understands the difficulties you are coping with.
