Carer Page:
Solace offers a confidential, non-judgemental, listening and support service to all carers. Looking after someone with mental health problems, or indeed with any illness, places a great deal of stress on the carer. If you need to talk through your feelings and emotions with someone then please call us at any time between 7.00pm and 1.00am seven nights a week. Lines are often busy but please keep trying.
Solace works in partnership with many other local organisations related to mental health. What follows are details of help which is available specifically to carers of those with mental health problems.
Below are details of various support groups available to carers in the South Warwickshire area:
The Old Bank Carers Support Group:
Holds meetings for carers bi-monthly in Warwick. Contact Lorraine on Tel.01926 419227/419228
The Springfield Care in Action Group:
provides a similar service for carers from the south of the county and meets 6/8 times a year in Stratford. Contact Rob or Caroline Tel. 01789 298615
Specialist Carer Workers:
Mental Health Specialist Carer Workers are now in place in the county providing information and advice Please ring 01926 450660
